heart of dixie

We lucked out and this past Sunday was perfect weather for my 2015 Senior Rep Styled Photoshoot! It was still a bit chilly but the sun was shining and these girls rocked the boho chic! :) The styled shoot is one of my favorites times of the year. It helps me get to know the girls a little better as well as get them all dazzled up with makeup and wardrobe. I’m so excited for these four girls to be my Senior Reps this year! I had so much fun and can’t wait to photograph their individual senior pictures soon.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped Sunday to run smoothly. My mother for keeping the fruit and macarons stocked, Melinda and Della of The Hair House for their awesome makeup design, and my sister who was up early with me setting up, tearing down and everything in between. xoxo (Macarons provided by Michelle’s Macarons) <— check her out, they are so yummy!

Now to introduce Erica Lee Photo’s 2015 Senior Reps: Kayla, Morgan, Logan and Alyssa! :) Hope you enjoy!

united we stand

First off… apologies. I’m sorry it’s been so long since my last post. Things have been pretty crazy around here. Even though I don’t have as many sessions in the winter I stay busy with planning, prepping, and dreaming for the year ahead of me. No excuse, right?

Around this time last year, I was honored with the opportunity to take photos of a military family before they were going to be separated for over a year. Stevie was going to be stationed in Kuwait and leaving behind 3 precious ladies who love him. You can see the photos here. On Saturday, I had the even greater honor to photograph their reunion. It has been a lot of waiting, so I won’t make you wait any longer. Stevie is back and here is his homecoming!

Amy, I so admire your strength. I’m certain it was not easy but you never let on. Every time I saw you, it was with a smile. Stevie, thank you for your sacrifice. I, we, are so very grateful for your service. Welcome home.
