First off… apologies. I’m sorry it’s been so long since my last post. Things have been pretty crazy around here. Even though I don’t have as many sessions in the winter I stay busy with planning, prepping, and dreaming for the year ahead of me. No excuse, right?
Around this time last year, I was honored with the opportunity to take photos of a military family before they were going to be separated for over a year. Stevie was going to be stationed in Kuwait and leaving behind 3 precious ladies who love him. You can see the photos here. On Saturday, I had the even greater honor to photograph their reunion. It has been a lot of waiting, so I won’t make you wait any longer. Stevie is back and here is his homecoming!
February 2013 / March 2014
Amy, I so admire your strength. I’m certain it was not easy but you never let on. Every time I saw you, it was with a smile. Stevie, thank you for your sacrifice. I, we, are so very grateful for your service. Welcome home.
A little over a month ago I was privileged to fly out to California to photograph a sweet couple and their newborn son, Declan. I went to college with Adam and Roni and was able to be a part of photographing their engagement as well as their wedding here in Ohio. They are one of those couples that you only have to be around for a few minutes to be able to see how much they love and respect one another. So when they asked me to take little Declan’s newborn photos, I was ecstatic! I am honored by the fact that I have been able to photograph some of the major “firsts” in their lives. Of course, I would choose the California sunshine over the Ohio uni-cloud any day! No brainer! So without further ado, meet Declan Rex.
